Conversation Classes

Conversation classes are held each Thursday evening during term from 7.00 - 9.00pm at the Notaras Multicultural Centre, 2nd Floor, Civic Square, London Circuit,Canberra City, ACT.  Classes are facilitated by dedicated volunteer teachers who have a solid background in the Italian language.  The aim of the classes is to reinforce people's learning of the language in a friendly and non-threatening environment, and to encourage people to speak and practise as much as possible.

Naturally, the conversation will depend on the interests of the teacher and the individual class members, so it's up to everyone to think of interesting topics to discuss.  Upon request, class leaders are happy to give advice on grammar and correct usage of Italian words, keeping in mind that the focus of the classes is conversation.

Conversation classes for 2010 will start on 11 February and finish on 25 November.  Breaks are on the following four Thursdays:

15 April, 8 and 15 July, 30 September and  7 October 2010
